For Here am I by Antinous Healed
Let nothing land that flies to pierce my flesh
Nor maim where in the mind I deepest delve.
Let worms about my belly burrowing
Wither and waste away, unsatisfied.
Let lice that nest their colony of nits
Flake off my impervious skin like shale.
For here am I by Antinous healed,
And all that would afflict me is vanquished.
