Central Figures
The Sacred Antinous features an array of characters
whose lives were touched or affected by the God Antinous.
Although many of them have been fictionalized for the sake
of the storytelling, some of them are based on actual persons
from history. Those who appear in the historical record are
indicated with an asterix (*). Actual portraits are denoted
with a (^) mark; otherwise, the portraiture is of anonymous
faces from the ancient world whose appearance approximates
my vision for the character.
